We all know that cable ties are great for sorting out your jumble of wires and cables.
We also all know that cable ties have some great alternative uses in the garden and elsewhere around the home and office (Blog 06August 2020). But how many of us have the flair, imagination or creative vision to turn that modest piece of plastic into something completely off the wall? 1 Pendant lamp
Designed in 2013 and exhibited at Clerkenwell Design Week, this incredible lamp by Vitamin studio comprised 26 cable ties.

3 Cable tie sculpture
Think outdoor, illuminated Christmas decorations such as reindeer and snowmen, and you can see the appeal in getting creative with the cable tie! Constructed from 20,000 cable ties, this life-size bear is illuminated and comes to us from Design Office Takebayashi Scroggin (d.o.t.s) of New York.

There’s a lot to be said in the adage ‘go large or go home’ and this chair is no exception! Capitalising on the aesthetic effect of the cable tie, the ‘Sea Urchin’ chair has become an iconic piece of furniture from Dutch designers Oooms.
